Four Years of Simptel India: A Story of People, Not Just Technology
Six years ago, while building one of the first versions of our platform at Simptel, I met Deep. Two years later, I stepped off a plane in Ahmedabad with my brother Alexander to attend his wedding, a vibrant Gujarati celebration with more than 400 guests. What began as a working relationship had already become something much deeper. It was never just about technology. It was about building a bridge for people. We had no idea how much that trip would change our lives.
I still remember the surreal moment of meeting Deep in person after so many digital conversations. It felt like something out of a movie. Around us, the city pulsed with color and chaos, but in that instant it was quiet. Happiness, recognition, and a connection that didn’t need words. This wasn’t business anymore. This was family.
Ahmedabad itself felt alive from the moment we arrived. Golden temples and old city streets buzzing with people. Night markets overflowing with food and music Punjabi, Gujarati, South Indian dishes we had never even seen before. It was overwhelming, humbling, and inspiring all at once. While Deep was caught up in the whirlwind of rituals, his brother-in-law Brijesh guided us through the city, making sure we felt at home. In the midst of so much noise and energy, he gave us calm.
Four years ago, the seeds planted on that trip took root. The first team members joined, and Simptel India was born. The hardest part wasn’t opening an office or making hires, it was letting go, trusting someone halfway across the world, and believing in a one-in-a-billion connection. That trust became the foundation for everything that followed.
And now, today, Simptel India turns four. That milestone fills me with pride and gratitude. We began and stayed bootstrapped, powered only by belief. Along the way, I learned to lead with more calm, less impulse. Today, as we prepare to launch the future of our platform, we move not like the rabbit racing ahead, but steady and purposeful, like the turtle that endures.

Looking back at that wedding in Ahmedabad, I never imagined we’d come this far. Our story was never just about building software. It has always been about trust, family, and crossing borders to build something that lasts. Our vision is simple but powerful: to connect the world through simple communication. And it didn’t start in a boardroom. It started in a wedding hall filled with music, rituals, and family. That is what makes Simptel different and unstoppable.
